- Kids who learn about the risks of substance abuse at home are significantly less likely to use. Parents and other caring adults do matter and can make a difference.
Parents360 (Parents: You Matter) is a community education program that engages parents through a presentation called Parents: You Matter. The presentation provides parents and other caring adults with valuable insights as to why kids use, how parents can start the dialogue about the dangers of substance abuse with their kids and what steps to take if they suspect or know their child is using. It underscores the need for parents to educate themselves about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, and to be the go-to source when their children have questions.

How can I bring Parents360 to my community?
There are three easy ways you can get involved:
- Become a Presenter: Team up with law enforcement officials, substance abuse providers, educators or other community stakeholders to co-deliver presentations to audiences within your community.
- Become a Coordinator: Help organize the program by arranging logistics, responding to community requests for presentations and scheduling presenters.
- Become a Champion: Contact key players, introduce them to the presentation and lead the process to help make your community healthier and safer.
I am interested in becoming a presenter or coordinator but I haven't seen the presentation. What can I do?
There are two ways you can become a presenter:
- If you’d like to see the Parents360 program but don’t have time to attend an event, you can start by viewing a slidecast of the presentation.
- You can also register and download the program materials.
How do I get Parents360 program materials?
Visit the PACT360 Guides & Training Materials page to download and view all program materials, which includes drug specific modules that can be integrated into the Parents360 presentation or delivered as stand-alone presentations.
In addition to Parents360, presenters can also access Grandparents360, a presentation that identifies how grandparents and other caring elders can help teens and their families avoid or address substance abuse problems.
